Thrashers Release Two Players From Training Camp Roster

The Atlanta Thrashers have released forward Dan Fritsche and goaltender Manny Legace from their training camp roster, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell. The Thrashers now have 25 players on their training camp roster, including 14 forwards, eight defensemen and three goaltenders.
Fritsche, 24, appeared in five pre-season games with the Thrashers, recording one assist. The Parma, Ohio, native has posted 76 points (34 goals, 42 assists) in 256 career NHL games with Columbus, the NY Rangers and Minnesota.
Legace, 36, appeared in one game during the pre-season with the Thrashers, turning aside 25-of-27 shots at Carolina on Sept. 25. The Toronto, Ont., native has appeared in 337 career NHL games with Los Angeles, Detroit and St. Louis.
The Thrashers open their 2009-10 NHL regular-season schedule when the Tampa Bay Lightning visit Philips Arena on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m.
